Boyd Technologies and Chase Machine & Engineering are teaming up to support medical device manufacturing in New England. The Companies share long-term success stories within flexible materials markets, in manufacturing, and machine design and engineering, respectively.

Boyd Technologies will celebrate 30 years of success this year as it exhibits at IDEA's 2010 IDEA trade show in Miami, FL. IDEA, the Association of the Nonwoven Fabrics Industry, hosts the show every three years as one of the largest gatherings of international nonwovens firms in the world.

Boyd Technologies announced today the celebration of its 30th anniversary. The Company was started in 1979 as Boyd Converting Company by founder and CEO Bronly S. Boyd. Today, Boyd Technologies operates out of the same location with expanded capabilities and a growing work force of approximately 65 people. 

Boyd Technologies, which is celebrating 30 years of advanced materials success this year, announced today its consolidation strategy which included the successful relocation of Columbus, Georgia based business Wellington Custom Fabrics™. During the second quarter, Boyd Technologies, headquartered in South Lee, MA, successfully moved Wellington and one of its key employees to South Lee and resumed operations on July 13, 2009.  

Wellington Custom Fabrics announced today the successful completion of its first year of business under new ownership and the appointment of Stacey Richmond as General Manager effective December 1, 2008. Last year, Wellington Custom Fabrics announced its acquisition by Boyd Technologies Inc., a South Lee, Massachusetts-based management firm that operates specialty materials converters/distributors and markets the breakthrough technologies that use those materials.
